I'm not being holy here.

I just wonder why people go to church and not listen to sermons. Granted that some of it may be boring and at times even dont apply at all. But isn't it basic courtesy to at least look at the speaker and LISTEN?

But besides not listening, people start doing all sorts of random nonsense things when they're almost right in front of the speaker. What's wrong with you? If we can't even grab some spiritual food through sermons, how then can we go out to live our faith and claim that we're the shining light of God?

I would be better off being a clerk seriously. Who needs the measly $300 extra of 'risk pay' and for that $300, u lose valuable time cos u cant freaking book out, u get scolded for the smallest things, u need to run like dogs and worse of all, mix with egoistic superiors who do not ANY brains!

No doubt i learnt alot since i enlist. Many different little social skills and etc outside of army skills. But, i can't see what i can draw out from this organisation anymore. Its meaningless.

I really need these 19 months to pass quickly. How i hate the army life.

Hello!!

For those who have been following, i'm back!! =)

After 2 months of hard work i finally passed out as a recruit on 10/09/08! Finally.

Army has significantly changed me alot i feel.. Physically, mentally, emotionally.

For the better of course.

It certainly hasnt been easy. I learn to cherish things more now. Freedom especially. Really. You dont know what u lost till its taken away from u. Even small things like electricity and water. During my field camp, it was quite hard for me to adapt cos we had to do things using torch lights with a red films.

Food also. Though the combat ration was not bad, its preserved. I missed my mum especially during meal times cos of all the fresh food that she can come up with.

The roadmarch. How can anyone forget? We were like animals. As we walked past, people took videos and pictures cos how often does 230 army boys walk past you? But little things like 100 plus and aunties cheering for us by the bus stop made our day. Not forgetting the motivation that it was our POP (passing out parade) day.

But tough times really doesnt last long. 2 months just flew past like that!

More challenges awaits. 3 weeks of parachuting starting from the week after and 3 weeks of signal course before i join back to hendon camp!

But for now, let me enjoy my POP! =)

so i've been in army for a month now and its really very tiring.. my weekends feels like they are just 2 hours long. You'll never get enough of weekends and now i really yearn and cherish weekends when it comes along..

so yup.. i'll just like to say i'm doing fine and i'm going away to tekong for my fieldtrip.. wont be in pasir ris camp from 12-20 aug.. i'll miss my bunk bed, shower and nice smelling uniforms..

The other day, Estella, Jabez and I went to watch Jasmine Chao's concert at the esplanade. The place was nice and the english sounds were my favourite! It was quite an experience for these young kids from cedar girls to be performing on such a grand stage such as the esplanade.

you know! you guys should really watch this show on discovery called mythbusters! its on channel 12 daily at 12pm or 5pm! its quite insightful and as the name suggests, they bust or confirm myths such as

1) whether the 3 second rule is valid

2) whether it is more fuel efficient to drive with air con on or windows down

3) how to survive an air crash

4) how to dodge a bullet

these are just some of the random things but ya.. there's alot more to this..

i was walking along the streets today when this sudden thought struck me.

If i was given a choice to have:

1) 5 Nissan Sunny 1.6L cars at the interval of 5 years each

2) wait for 25 years to own a ferrari

I would go for option 2. Because I would rather wait for the best than to keep going for things that are incomparable to the best. I guess the same goes for what i am facing now. I would rather wait for what i deem is the best than to have any sort of connections with things that cant match up.

many of you know that i am slightly more afraid of heights than any normal human beings.. and that is 1 of the reasons why i am not looking forward to being a commando because most of its stunts have to do with heights.. its like a fear factor boot camp for me you know?

as much as i would like to stare fear in the eye and go head to head with it.. i want to enjoy my army life as well!

i went to try this ultra hard to play game at raffles place.. its some f1 game that makes u sweat like crazy not because its physical but its because the tent is so freaking hot! i wonder how those promoters work there..

so yes its a story of 1 scene.. that revolves around the different perspectives of those who were involved.. and its kinda irritating for 45 minutes sitting there just looking at one scene with different views of that particular scene..

people in the cinema which i was in didnt know whether to laugh or cry.. but 1 things for sure.. when they rewind for a new perspective, everyone must be thinking " here we go again!"

the unrealistic car driving stunts irritates me while and the lead actor having more than 9 lives irritates me even more..

this is sorta like a first movie critic for me and i rank it as bad as the epic movie that i watched sometime ago which is horrendous..

to see is to believe.. but if u have faith in me.. say thank you because u just saved urself 10 bucks! =)

so yes phuket was damn fun! so many exciting happened within like 3 days?! and furthermore! i tried so many things i've never done before and shopped till my legs almost gave way! =) but nonetheless it was great fun to be overseas again.. =)

following a long discussion with dad.. i finally understood why the policeman killed that guy at outram park..

The verdict in an extremely summarised format..

1) Threatening of the life of a police officer
ya this is duh..

2) No protocol to fire at less life threatening body parts

3) Lesser paperwork
This has to be explained.. its true that there will be tonnes and millions of reports for that poor chap to submit to his higher authority and present his case to the judge..

however.. a dead man does not speak! this would mean that whatever the police says would not meet with rebuttal from the murderer..

if he was paralyzed or let to live, he may fight against the police if he thinks he stands any chance against a murder charge.. thus more paper work has to be done by the poor chap! he prolly wont have a life for 6 months after the incident but to type reports and answer questions by prosecutors all day.. =)

its useful to have a family like mine! HAHAHA!

but of course i hope to break the family trend.. =)

ok so yesterday this guy was shot at Outram Mrt.. and no wonder the PA system at Tanah Merah Mrt station advised everyone to board from Douby Ghaut..

while the train was pulling into outram park.. i saw heaps of people rushing over towards where i was sitting as though they were running away from smth.. and at that point i didnt know what happened and it just felt strange.. and when i saw tonnes of police.. i thought Mas Selamat was at the station!!

but yea it turns out that someone got fired upon.. sigh.. and it suddenly struck me that why did the police not shoot him on the leg or other not so vital parts of his body?! why did they have to kill him instantly.. besides.. SGH is so near from outram park mrt.. couldnt they have shot him and then send him to hospital and after that trial him for murder?

true that he will die sooner or later as a result of murder.. but why not give him that chance to live longer?

alright! i'm so glad that the flood of projects and exams are over.. apparently i've received comments that i'm slimed down after a week of study break.. how much slimmer can i get right felicia?! =p and i conclude that its because of not seeing my favourite people in school.. in another words withdrawal symptoms..

alright! so the formalities first! happy chinese new year everyone!! =)

yea so went for visiting yesterday like usual.. my cousin recently got a new dog!! now she has 2 dogs in a 4 room flat! oh my goodness!! one of which is sooo big, it isnt supposed to be in a HDB! seems like my cousins all have the same trait of walking along the grey lines in the eyes of the law...
